WE ARE OPEN!
COVID-19 UPDATE (29th July 2020)
The PCC has taken the decision to open the church for worship services again from Sunday 2nd August. These weekly services will follow our usual timings with a service at 11am, with All Age Worship on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Please note that there will be no Joint Benefice service due to restrictions on capacity.
All advice regarding Covid precautions have been taken by our church. The Diocese strongly advises that face coverings should be worn by all those attending a place of worship, including ministers and worshippers, remembering that they are mainly intended to protect other people, not the wearer, from Covid and that they are not a replacement for physical distancing and regular hand washing/sanitising.
St Thomas a Becket is a Church of England parish church serving the village community of Hampsthwaite in the beautiful Nidderdale countryside beyond central Harrogate. We are a dedicated worshipping community with a welcoming Sunday School, an enthusiastic choir and a wide range of groups and activities. Click on the various links to see what we hope to offer you.
We hope you find what you are looking for on these pages and we would be delighted to welcome you, whether as a visitor or to join us in worship and fellowship.
The joint Benefice comprises the parishes of St. Thomas a Becket, Hampsthwaite with Felliscliffe & St. Thomas the Apostle, Killinghall and St. James, Birstwith.
