Soup & sandwich Lunch
Monday 12th November at 12.30pm All are welcome to share in a soup and sandwich lunch in the Community Room at Hampsthwaite Church. Come along with friends, or come alone and make new friends – all are welcome.
Tuesday 13th November at 2pm and again at 7pm Come along and join in with our monthly Get Crafty sessions held here in the Community Room at Hampsthwaite Church. You can just turn up on the day, bringing along your craft project – perhaps knitting, crochet, card making etc – either current, or maybe something that has been sitting in the cupboard waiting to be finished! Or come along and learn something new, whilst catching up with friends old and new, over a cuppa. ALL are welcome!
Every other Tuesday, a Bible Study Group is being held at High Nuek, Hirst Lane, Birstwith, HG3 2HZ. Each of the sessions focus on a different topic but they are not part of a course, so if you have to miss one or two you will not be at a disadvantage. This is open to all, no matter what faith or creed, but places are limited, as it will be held in Sue’s home, so please let one of us know if you wish to come along. No prior learning is needed and the passages will be printed for you – just bring yourself and something to write with. Here are the dates for November: 13th November, 27th November .

Sunday 23rd December at 4pm For the first time in Hampsthwaite Village, we bring you the Nativity Story told in a new and exciting way! Meeting at the Memorial Hall, we begin with the Good News of Jesus’ impending birth, we follow on to the Joiners Arms, where Mary & Joseph seek shelter, from there we stop at various points down Church Lane, where we find the Shepherds as they hear the Good News and then on to see the Baby Jesus in the Stable. We make our way down to Church for the final scene and to sing a Christmas Carol and to receive God’s blessing, after which we enjoy Mulled Wine and Mince Pies (and soft drinks for the children). All are welcome to join us as we celebrate in this new venture – please feel free to dress up as your favourite Nativity character – but please wear wellies and bring torches for safety. We very much look forward to this special event – please come along and bring your families and friends – suitable for all ages!
